Green Valley area was developed over 30 years ago as an unincorporated
retirement community. Today it is a thriving and ever growing town
with over 400 businesses located just 30 minutes south of Tucson at
the base of the majestic Santa Rita Mountains. Green Valley’s
residential population sits at about 20,000 full and part time residents.
Green
Valley’s cool 2900’ elevation provides for the beautiful
average temperatures of 75 degrees, which lends itself to the multitude
of activities in Green Valley. The casual lifestyle known for popular
activities ranges from hiking, golfing, horseback riding, biking,
swimming, tennis to bird watching in the famed Madera Canyon. Green
Valley residents are known for their active and social lifestyles.
The
geographical layout of Green Valley is clean and uncongested making
it easy to get around the area of eight miles long and two miles wide.
Favorite modes of transportation consist of shuttle buses, golf carts,
and bicycles. Even the community’s streets are wheelchair friendly
with special designated lanes! There are major banking institutions,
grocery, drugstores, and medical services within minutes.
Other geographical points of interest are the Village of Tubac, a
quaint artisan town famous for its charming shops, galleries and restaurants.

Just another 30 minutes south on I-19 is Old Mexico. Cross the border
and you’ll get the true flavor of the bustling streets of Nogales
for great shopping and excellent Mexican cuisine.
There
are currently eight area golf courses to choose from in Green Valley
(six of them championship), and two resorts Esplendor at Rio Rico
and Tubac Golf Resort. Tucson International Airport is just a quick
and convenient drive 25 minutes north on I-19.
